Stocks Drop, Dow Logs New Closing Low For 2022

(New York, NY) — Wall Street is ending a brutal week with the Dow Jones Industrial Average at a new closing low for 2022. Stocks trimmed some losses in the final hour as global recession fears rattled markets. Tech stocks and energy shares led the sell-off in volatile trading. At the closing bell, the Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 486 points to 29-590. The S&P 500 fell 64 points to 36-93. The Nasdaq dropped 198 points to 10-867.
