(Long Beach, CA) — The California Interscholastic Federation voted this morning to approve girls’ flag football as an official high school sport. For now, the approval applies to schools in the Southern Section of the CIF. Next month members are expected to take up the issue again with the goal of making it an official sport state-wide.
