Angelenos Paying $6.46 For Gasoline

(Los Angeles, CA) — It’s now 30 straight days that Los Angeles County’s gasoline prices have gone up. The Automobile Club of Southern California says the current local average cost of a gallon of self-serve regular is $6.46. That’s just three-tenths of a penny lower than the record high in L.A. County. Triple “A” spokesman Doug Shupe says several local refineries continue to undergo unplanned maintenance. Shupe adds, until these refineries are fully operational again, Southland drivers will continue to have low fuel inventories which will lead to high pump prices. The current average is 66-cents higher than last week’s price at the pump. It’s also two dollars and five-cents higher than one year ago. The local average price has increased $1.21 the past 30 days.
