CA Gov’s Wife To Testify Against Harvey Weinstein In Sex Crimes Trial
(Los Angeles, CA) — California Governor Gavin Newsom’s wife is set to take the stand in the Harvey Weinstein sex crimes trial. Jury selection for the trial began on Monday and California’s first partner will appear in the Los Angeles courtroom sometime in the next ten weeks. Jennifer Siebel Newsom’s attorney said her client was sexually assaulted by Weinstein at a business meeting that “turned out to be a trap.” They added she’s testifying to seek some “measure of justice for survivors.” Weinstein is accused of a forcible rape against Newsom in Los Angeles County between 2004 and 2005.
