(San Francisco, CA) — Elon Musk is reportedly planning to layoff roughly 75 percent of Twitter employees once his deal for the social media company goes through. Musk has told potential investors he plans to layoff around 55-hundred employees, reducing the workforce to roughly two-thousand. Musk says he’s “obviously overpaying” for Twitter, but he sees huge upside in the long-term. On Tesla’s third quarter earnings call this week, Musk said the long term value of the social media platform is “an order of magnitude greater than its current value.”
