(San Francisco, CA) — The suspect accused of attacking Nancy Pelosi’s husband with a hammer allegedly wanted to hold the House Speaker hostage and break her kneecaps if she “lied.” The Department of Justice on Monday announced David DePape is charged with attempted kidnapping and assaulting an immediate family member of a U.S. official. The federal complaint doesn’t say what DePape would consider to be a “lie” from Pelosi. DePape was arrested Friday when officers found him struggling with Paul Pelosi over a hammer. Paul Pelosi underwent surgery after the attack to repair a fractured skull.
