Biden continues to push student loan cancellation that he lied about passing Congress and, really, Americans don’t want.

(Albuquerque, NM) — President Biden is still promoting his administration’s student loan debt relief program as the midterm elections are less than a week away. While campaigning for Democrats in New Mexico, Biden said more than 40-million Americans stand to benefit from the program and nearly 26-million have already applied for forgiveness. Recent polls show Americans don’t really want their money given to pay for other people’s college loans. The plan includes canceling ten-thousand dollars for most student loan borrowers and up to 20-thousand for those who received pell grants. The President was recently caught lying about how the plan came about, claiming falsely that Congress passed it by a ‘couple of votes’, when there was never a vote; He used an executive order. The debt relief is temporarily on hold as legal challenges play out. Republicans argue Biden overstepped his authority with the program.
