(San Francisco, CA) — A guaranteed income program is being launched in San Francisco for the city’s transgender residents. Mayor London Breed made the announcement this week. She said the program will give low-income transgender residents payments of up to 12-hundred dollars each month for up to 18 months. The program, called Guaranteed Income for Transgender people, or G.I.F.T, will prioritize specific demographics.
