Losing L.A. Councilman Introduces Motion to Ban Sale of New Gas Cars By 2030

(Los Angeles, CA) — The Los Angeles City Council will look at a proposal calling for a ban on the sale of all gasoline cars in L.A. by 2030. Outgoing Councilman Paul Koretz introduced the motion on Tuesday. The sales of gasoline, diesel, and natural gas-burning cars would start getting phased-out in 2028, and would be determined by the price of the vehicle. The sale of all gas cars that cost more than 28-thousand-dollars would be banned starting in six years.
