(New York, NY) — The market is failing to bounce back after yesterday’s slide. Investors will be waiting for data to be released related to gross domestic product and jobs for a look into the economy. Meantime, Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell is set to speak tomorrow and traders will listen for any hints about how the central bank will move forward in its fight against inflation. At the closing bell, the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained three points to 33-852. The S&P 500 dropped by six points to 39-57. The Nasdaq lost 65 points to 10-983.

Cruise lines were some of the biggest gainers for today as Carnival and Norwegian Cruise Line both gained over four-percent. On the losing side, PayPal and Apple were some of the biggest losers both shedding more than two-percent.
