(Washington, DC) — The number of same-sex households in the U.S. is over one-million of the first time. Census data shows the percent of those households is almost at one-percent across the country. Over 700-thousand of those are married couples. The new data comes just as Congress has taken action on legislation protecting the right to same-sex marriage for the first time in history.
