(Kansas City, MO) — The severity of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ injury has been revealed. The 27-year-old signal caller suffered a high ankle sprain during the 27-20 divisional round playoff win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Saturday, according to ESPN. Mahomes underwent an MRI on Sunday, which confirmed the nature of the injury. Mahomes said following the game that he plans to play in the AFC Championship Game against the Cincinnati Bengals next weekend.
