(Sacramento, CA) — Officials with University of California are looking to add spots for in-state students by the 2026-27 academic year. The UC system, along with Governor Gavin Newsom announced changes to the UC’s budget and policies as a part of its 2022 Multi-Year Compact Annual Report. The report states that the UC system will raise enrollment of in-state residents by one percent per year between the 2023-24 and 2026-27 academic years.
