(Washington, DC) — A group of House Democrats is raising concerns over U.S. Capitol security ahead of President Biden’s State of the Union address. More than a dozen fearful Democrats signed a letter to congressional leaders–of course– condemning the Republican majority’s decision to roll back security measures put in place after the Capitol riot. That includes removing metal detectors outside the House and Senate chambers. The group called on leaders to brief lawmakers on what security measures are being taken to keep attendees safe.
