(Atlanta, GA) — Almost half of young children in the U.S. don’t eat a daily vegetable. That’s according to the CDC, which also found that about one in three kids don’t get at least one fruit in their daily diet. The results come from more than 18-thousand responses from parents to the 2021 National Survey of Children’s Health. They relayed what their kids between the ages of one and five years old ate the previous week. Nearly 60-percent of parents said their child consumed a sugar-sweetened drink in that time.
