(Sacramento, CA) — A California lawmaker is calling to end the state’s massive high speed rail project. Assemblyman Vince Fong, who represents the Central Valley, says the project is a failure. The update shows that the plan to build the 171-mile Central Valley link, connecting Merced to Bakersfield, has shot up to 35-billion dollars. That exceeds secured funding by 10-billion. Now, the High Speed Rail Authority is looking to the federal government in hopes of securing the money to keep the project on track. Bakersfield Assemblyman Vince Fong says the legislature should end the continuous funding to this project.
A legal way to end the “high-speed-waste-of-money” train to nowhere.
