(San Diego County, CA) — California is taking on the opioid crisis in a new way. Governor Gavin Newsom says his master plan to save lives includes the state making its own Narcan. The medication has been widely distributed to schools as a way to reverse a drug overdose. Newsom will also rely on the National Guard more. He says it a “comprehensive approach” that will also crack down on criminal organizations trafficking what he calls “poison” into communities.
State can’t fix the roads, keep the lights on and supply water–so of course they are going to manufacture medicines.
