More Improvement In California’s Drought Status

By

/

(San Diego, CA) — More than half of California is now out of the drought. Fifty-five-percent of the state is now out of drought status, the best since early February of 2020. And just two percent of California remains in severe drought or higher, the best since early April of that year. Most of the weekly gains were in Northern California, but 97 percent of Los Angeles County is now out of the drought completely, a 21-percent improvement from a week ago. But elected officials continue to wag their fingers in warning that we could face drought conditions again and we are “not out of the woods”.
