Managers of SoCal Senior Living Facility Plead Not Guilty To COVID-Related Deaths

(Los Angeles, CA) — Three managers of an Irvine-based Silverado Senior Living Management company are denying all charges after 14 people died of COVID related deaths at a residential care facility in Los Angeles in 2020. According to the Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascon’s Office, the national chain also pleaded not guilty last month to the same 13 felony counts of elder endangerment and five felony counts of violation causing death. Thirteen people and one nurse died at the Silverado Beverly Place in LA. The DA says a new resident was allowed into the facility not having been tested for COVID immediately and not having to quarantine in isolation which led to an outbreak in the facility. In a statement last month, Silverado said the charges are “baseless and egregiously contradict the facts.”
