(San Francisco, CA) — Grocery store chain Whole Foods is temporarily closing their San Francisco flagship store. The Amazon subsidiary in the city’s Mid-Market neighborhood shut its doors Monday after being open for a year due to rampant crime in the area. The San Francisco Standard reports that this Whole Foods location reduced operating hours last year because of theft and changed its bathrooms after employees found syringes and pipes. Meanwhile, Starbucks stores around the city have been removing indoor and outdoor seating. The Seattle-based coffee giant has not given a clear explanation as to why, but employees believe Starbucks is eliminating seating due to the homeless and people with mental illnesses in the surrounding areas.
Yeah, the crime you see is not real. No, really, don’t believe what you see.
