(Sacramento, CA) — The state of California is banning the sale of gas powered trucks by 2036, and is limiting gas powered big rigs, busses and other large vehicles over the next few years. By 2035, gas powered big rigs will be banned in California, the next year, 2036, sales of new gas powered trucks will stop in the state, and by 2039, all busses and garbage trucks will have to be electric. In addition, there are new regulations on emissions for trains in California. The rules come after a vote of the California Air Resources Board.
