(Huntington Beach, CA) — Huntington Beach is opting out of the Orange County Power Authority. City council members were initially split about pulling out of the green power agency. In the end, members sided with the departure. One council member called the OCPA a “total disaster,” and recommended going with Southern California Edison as a reliable source of electricity and management of the power grid. The OCPA also serves the cities of Fullerton, Buena Park, and Irvine.
