Law enforcement agencies in Los Angeles and Beverly Hills are pledging to step up patrols around places of worship after Hamas’ attack on Israel. On Sunday, dozens of travelers who were in Israel during Saturday morning’s attack returned to LAX. Many of them were forced to shelter in place in Israel before they were able to get a safe flight home. On Sunday night, the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles and the Board of Rabbis of Southern California held a vigil to honor the hundreds of victims killed and wounded in the attack.
