The Los Angeles Police Department is vowing to boost patrols today following reports that Hamas is urging its supporters to take to the streets for a so-called “global day of jihad.” Former Hamas leader Khaled Mashal called for a global day of anger to support Hamas’ deadly attack on Israel. Reports of an alleged terrorist threat for Friday the 13th have also been seen on social media.

The Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, and Santa Monica Police Departments say more officers will be patrolling synagogues and other places of worship. There have been no reported credible threats in Southern California.
