Chipotle May Hike Prices In CA To Pay For Wages

By

Chipotle says it might have to raise prices at its California restaurants to pay for employee wages.  The Mexican food chain just announced price hikes nation-wide but says they are considering raising the costs of food at their California locations to keep up with the state’s new minimum wage law for fast-food workers.

Back in September, Governor Newsom signed legislation that raises the minimum wage to 20 dollars an hour for fast food and fast-casual workers.

That new hourly wage in California takes effect next April.
