A Los Angeles police officer who claims he was sexually harassed by an aide to former Mayor Eric Garcetti is getting one-point-eight-million-dollars from the city.

The L.A. City Council approved the settlement on Wednesday. Officer Matthew Garza sued the city in 2020, claiming sex and gender harassment at the hands of Garcetti’s former senior advisor, Rick Jacobs.

Garza says Jacobs allegedly subjected him to unwanted sexual comments and touching hundreds of times between 2014 and 2019. Garcetti allegedly saw some of the behavior and turned a blind eye to it.
