Way more people are moving OUT of California than into the state. Economists blame the high cost of housing. New data from the Census Bureau shows among the top ten counties in the U.S. with the highest level of net OUT-migration, four are in California: Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego and Santa Clara.
The San Diego Union Tribune is assessing the graphs and they show nearly 31-thousand people left San Diego County in 2023; that’s double the number from 2022. In L.A., more than 56-thousand people moved out.
