Another California election is happening today.  This one is for voters in San Joaquin Valley.  They’re casting ballots in a special primary to decide who should fill the rest of former Representative Kevin McCarthy’s term for Congressional District 20.

He resigned in December with a year left.  Voters already narrowed the field of candidates two weeks ago in the state primary, choosing Tulare County Sheriff Mike Boudreaux and Assemblyman Vince Fong to face off in November.

The winner will serve in 2025 and 2026.
