An Oakland man about to turn 103 claims the city’s efforts to fight graffiti aren’t working.
He got a violation citation to clean up his back fence by this week or face an 11-hundred dollar fine. He says the graffiti keeps happening and used to paint over it himself each time before he used a wheelchair. His 70-year-old son does it now but says the fix won’t last.
A city inspector reportedly plans to do an inspection and may cancel the citation.
