This is the first day an Oakland In-N-Out is out business.  Workers served their final double-double last night off Interstate 880.  It’s the only location the fast-food chain has ever closed and says it just wasn’t safe anymore for employees and customers.

The restaurant blamed a rise in car break-ins, property damage, theft and robberies.  City officials hope the new police chief can help stop other businesses from leaving.
