A scam to rip off Girl Scouts in California is leading to a federal investigation.  The Secret Service is now involved because fake money was used.  Fairfield Police say someone gave the children a counterfeit 100-dollar bill to buy cookies in Solano County.

It happened at least three times last month — twice at Lowe’s parking lots, and once in front of a Peet’s Coffee.  On top of that, one of the troops was reportedly victimized last year as well.
