The Los Angeles City Council has voted to extend its contract with high-ranking LAPD officers. The contract, which was going to expire on June 29th, now runs through 2027.
It applies to members of the Los Angeles Police Command Officers Association, which include captains, commanders and deputy chiefs.
Through 2026, high-ranking officers will see a total base wage increase of 12 percent. The number of allotted vacation hours and the amount of holiday pay will also increase.
