Officials with the city of Los Angeles altered evidence to support their defense against allegations that the city illegally seized and destroyed the property of homeless people.  That’s the ruling of a Federal judge.

According to the “Los Angeles Times,” the judge will likely impose sanctions on the city.  Five years ago, a group of homeless people sued, alleging the city violated their rights by destroying or confiscating their belongings during camp cleanups.  The suit claims that a laptop computer, medications, furniture, and personal identification were among the items taken.
