A high-ranking advisor to Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascon has been charged with eleven felonies.
Ethics and Integrity Assistant District Attorney Diana Teran was charged by the California state attorney general. Teran is accused of accessing confidential peace officer files in 2018, then using the data without permission while working for the D.A.’s Office in 2021.
Teran is accused of accessing the confidential records of eleven sheriff’s deputies. In her work for the D.A.’s Office, Teran oversees cases involving public corruption, fraud and police misconduct.
