Results are finally in for California’s 16th Congressional District race.
The recount of 182-thousand ballots in Santa Clara and San Mateo counties broke the tie for second place. Assemblymember Evan Low won by just five votes. This sets up a showdown with former San Jose mayor Sam Liccardo in November.
They’re both trying to replace Congresswoman Anna Eshoo, who is retiring. The secretary of state still has to certify the results.
