California has built hundreds of tiny homes intended to house homeless people, but almost all of them have not been deployed. Governor Gavin Newsom promised 12-hundred tiny homes, and they have been built.

Newsom said the homes would be sent to various cities for purchase, including San Jose, Los Angeles, and San Diego.  A year later, only 150 tiny homes have been bought.

Local governments say they haven’t received the state funding that was promised. Sacramento says the delays are due to red tape and other factors that must be worked out.
