Efforts to recall the mayor of Oakland are moving forward.  The group known as OUST, or Oakland United to Recall Sheng Thao, say they’ve collected well more than the needed signatures to get the recall on the November ballot.

The group says they’ve collected over 30-thousand signatures in just the past three months but want to collect about ten thousand more before they turn them over to the Registrar of Voters by July.

The group has targeted Mayor Thao for what they say is a lack of effort when it comes to fighting crime in the city, among other issues.
