Oakland A’s to Lay Off Staff Ahead Of Sacramento Move

The Oakland A’s will be handing pink slips to several employees ahead of their move to California’s capital city.  The exact number of positions on the chopping block hasn’t been released, but a source tells ABC10 roughly 50-percent of non-baseball staff will be laid off.  The team says it has to restructure its workforce due to its relocation to Sacramento next year.  The A’s add they will provide severance packages, assistance and resources to help staff through the transition.
