A federal judge is telling UCLA and Jewish students to devise a plan that can be enforced if Pro-Palestinian protests erupt on campus again. The students sued the university claiming that a recent protest encampment violated their civil rights by illegally blocking them from accessing campus facilities.
The judge said the students and the school have one week to hammer out an enforceable plan that would ensure access for all students.
In April, Anti-Israel students, faculty, and outside organizers set up tents in the Royce Quad and camped out for several weeks in protest of the Israel-Hamas war and UCLA’s financial ties to the Israeli Government.
