Repairs are underway on a San Francisco gas line. A construction crew damaged it yesterday on Paul Avenue and it took PG&E crews several hours to stop the release of gas. During that time, homes on Crane, Exeter and Gould streets were evacuated as a precaution. Police went door-to-door telling everyone to leave or shelter in place. A Muni bus was even brought in for residents. About 700 natural gas customers lost service.
