OR, WA Ballot Drop Box Fires Under Investigation

Two ballot drop box fires are under investigation.  Portland police said they responded to a call about a fire around 3:30 in the morning and found an “incendiary device” inside the ballot box.  Three ballots were damaged.  About 15 miles away in Vancouver, Washington, officers found another “suspicious device” that was burning next to a drop box.  Clark County election officials said the incident damaged hundreds of ballots.
