Newsom To Consider Clemency for Menendez Brothers

A California murder case back in the national spotlight is taking a new turn.  Governor Newsom will consider whether to grant the Menendez brothers clemency.  Erik and Lyle made the request this week.  The Los Angeles County district attorney supports the move, saying the men have served 34 years for shooting their own parents to death in 1989.  He’s trying to get them resentenced and a court date has been set for December 11th.  But the DA’s term ends days before and if he isn’t reelected, the hearing may not happen.
