Body Camera Footage Shows Man Stab Officer Outside of Santa Monica Police Station

Newly released body camera footage shows the moment a man stabbed a Santa Monica police officer outside of police headquarters. In the video from October 5th, the 28-year-old man can be seen holding one hand inside of his jacket while talking to the officer. After the officer says that is making him nervous, the man quickly pulls the knife out and stabs him several times. The officer retreated to the side of the building, then turned around and shot the man to death. The officer was hospitalized but was released the next day.
