FBI Investigating Damage to Super Scooper Firefighting Plane

The FBI is investigating a collision involving a Super Scooper firefighting plane and a drone in California.  The incident happened Thursday as the plane was conducting a fire suppression operations at the Palisades Fire near Malibu.  An unauthorized drone that was flying in violation of a FAA flight restriction collided with the plane.  The FBI has created a digital tip line for the public to submit information, photos or video they may have that could help identify the drone operator.  The Super Scooper was repaired and is able to return to service.
