Bay Area Sanitation Workers Off The Job

Some Bay Area residents are seeing their trash pile up due to sanitation workers being off the job. Folks in cities like Daly City, Fremont, Half Moon Bay, Richmond, Santa Clara and several others are dealing with an overflow of trash at their homes and businesses. Sanitation workers in those communities tied to Republic Services walked off the job recently in solidarity with Republic Services workers on the East Coast that are striking for better wages and benefits. It’s unclear when the Bay Area workers might come back to work.
