National Guard Members Released From Duty Following LA Protests

Two-thousand California National Guard troops deployed to Los Angeles last month are being pulled back. The Pentagon announced the move Tuesday, with Chief Pentagon Spokesman Sean Parnell stating that lawlessness in Los Angeles is subsiding. The Guard members were originally sent to the city to help safeguard federal buildings and personnel in the wake of riots against ICE operations.
