A rural county in Northern California wants to take control of its election ballots. The Shasta Election Task Force has collected over ten thousand signatures to propose changes in its election processes. They want to count votes by hand, limit mail-in ballots, require voter ID, and finalize results quickly after polls close. Since they have more than enough signatures, the proposal is likely to be on the California Primary ballot in June of next year. They need to have about six thousand eight hundred fifty valid signatures.
