Gubernatorial candidate and Democrat Katie Porter almost stormed out of an interview with CBS when asked on how she plans to win over supporters of President Donald Trump.
“I don’t want to keep doing this. I’m going to call it,” Porter said, trying to remove her microphone and cut off the interview after CBS News reporter Julie Watts asked how she intended to appeal to the 40% of California voters who backed Trump, the video shows. “I don’t want this all on camera.”
A new Zogby Strategies poll shows her trailing political commentator Steve Hilton by six points in a hypothetical general election matchup, with 23% of voters undecided, according to Newsweek.
CBS’s Julie Watts posted on X saying, “Since this 3min excerpt of 30min segment went viral, we decided to post it ourselves. But I’d encourage you to watch the full segment.”
