The suspect accused of igniting a fire that turned into the deadly and devastating Palisades Fire in California faces decades in prison. Jonathan Rinderknecht was indicted by a federal grand jury Wednesday and had more felonies added to his case. Rinderknecht is a former Pacific Palisades resident who was arrested in Florida earlier this month. The 29-year-old is accused of maliciously starting a fire on New Year’s Day. Those flames ultimately became the Palisades Fire, which killed a dozen people, destroyed close to seven-thousand structures, and burned over 23-thousand acres, causing widespread destruction in the area.
