Halloween police patrols are ramping up tonight. With the event falling on a Friday, local police, sheriff’s deputies and CHP officers are looking for drunk or impaired drivers. The CHP is running a 12-hour maximum enforcement period from 6 p.m. Friday until 6 a.m. Saturday. Police plan to patrol streets, highways and freeways as they look to write tickets and arrest dangerous drivers. They ask drivers to be extra safe as kids are in the streets.
